Basking in the glory of her remix of her recent single ‘Daily II’, multi-award winning afro R&B gospel musician Theresa Phondo, goes on another music ministry mission to perform for the first time in Blantyre as a soloist.
The former Zathu Band member joins a rich line-up of gospel musicians to perform at the inaugural The Easter Experience on April 19 2025 at Sunbird Mount Soche Hotel organised by Revive and Worship Concert.
“I am very excited to perform in Blantyre; this is the first time to perform as a solo artist. We had an Easter event last year in Lilongwe but I am looking forward to minister in Blantyre alongside other ministers such as Paul Kachala,” she said.
Theresa said the concert also gives her an opportunity to worship “as we are uplifting God.”
“I am looking forward to meeting fellow artists and interacting with the audience,” she said.
Revive and Worship Concert is a new sound of revival that seeks to give people an experience of worship, praise and divine encounter.
Apart from Theresa and Kachala, some of the artists on the line-up include Praise Umali, Kelvin Sings, Beracah, Annette Nandine, Frank Chimpanzi and Chigo Grace.
DJ Kenny, who has partnered Classic Events Management in the Revive and Worship Concert, said on Thursday that they want to change the landscape and give people a proper worship experience.
“Last year we experienced a top worship concert and we thought we should come in and create such a platform. Our target is to be holding two events every year, one in Blantyre and another in Lilongwe,” he said.
DJ Kenny said they are starting off with Blantyre with the Easter Experience before holding another one in Lilongwe later in the year.
“The Revive and Worship Concert is not just an event – it is a calling, a moment of breakthrough and a night where heaven meets earth and we hope people will enjoy the ride,” he said.
