Silver Strikers have hailed the recent jersey branding partnership with Betway as a transformative deal for the team and Malawian football.

The one-year partnership, valued at K65 million, was officially launched in Lilongwe two months ago.

The club’s chief executive officer, Patrick Chimimba, emphasised the potential of the deal, which he said has already begun to yield benefits in their performance both on and off the field.

“This partnership with Betway is not just about financial support; it is about the development and professionalisation of our club,” he said.

Chimimba said since the partnership’s inception, Silver have seen improvements in their performance.

“Betway’s involvement has allowed us to focus more on the technical and tactical aspects of the game. Our players are more motivated and better equipped to perform at their best. This is reflected in our recent match results and the increased morale within the team,” he said.

He said while the club already receives financial support from the Reserve Bank of Malawi, the additional K65 million from Betway has been instrumental in complementing their financial resources.

The partnership is also fostering a stronger connection between the club and its fans.

“Our goal is to help the club achieve its full potential and inspire other teams to strive for excellence,” he said.

Phiri added that Silver have a rich history and a strong fan base, which aligns perfectly with Betway’s brand values.
