Melody Chihana from Blantyre had the opportunity to wine and dine with musician Charisma after she won this year’s Win A Date competition hosted by The Times Group.
As part of the grand prize, Chihana was chauffeured from her home in Chitawira to Hotel Victoria where she enjoyed an all-expenses paid dinner date with her favourite artist – Charisma.
Speaking at the end of the evening, the rapper, known for tracks such as ‘Lemme Love You’ expressed appreciation for the experience and opportunity.
“The date was nice, I enjoyed myself, and Melody was comfortable,” he said.
When asked why he took up the offer to go on the date, Charisma admitted that he saw it as a chance to engage with fans and be in the spotlight.
“I am a man that likes to be in the spotlight, I like to be out there because this is what I do,” the artist said.
On her part, Chihana said she was happy for the opportunity.
“I am very happy that I was chosen and met Charisma, I enjoyed my evening with him,” she said.
The Win A Date competition was organised as a special treat for The Times Group audience during the month of love.
Last year’s edition saw a lucky fan winning a date with Onesimus.
