Speaking to MIJ Online, Mtalimanja showed MEC’s efforts to implement measures that guarantee every eligible citizen has the opportunity to register to vote.

To achieve this, MEC has adjusted its approach to ensure National Registration Bureau (NRB) teams are available at all registration centers, not just strategic locations.
Mtalimanja stressed that MEC is committed to maintaining impartiality, professionalism, independence, and non-partisanship throughout the electoral process.
In a show of support, Gladys Ganda, Director of Elections for the main opposition Democratic Progressive Party and Chairperson for the Parliamentary Committee on Budget and Finance, pledged to ensure MEC and NRB receive adequate resources for the electoral processes.
