MCCI enforces calls to revitalize the agriculture sector
The Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry has described the agriculture sector as Malawi’s engine for export drive, with potential to boast economic growth if well capitalized.
The sentiments come days to the 20th National Agriculture Fair which is set to take place from the 29th -31st August 2024 at Chichiri Trade Fair Grounds in Blantyre.
Madalitso Kazembe, Directorate of Business Environment for the MCCCI told MIJ Online that the event will provides a platform for local and international exhibitors in the manufacturing, financial services, technology, agriculture and value-added services, to connect, and explore new business opportunities.
Meanwhile Kazembe has disclosed that so far the chamber has registered 131 pavilions to be occupied by exhibitors, an increase from 116 pavilions occupied during last year’s Agriculture Fair.
