The Civil Society Elections Integrity Forum -CSEIF has urged President Lazarus Chakwera to avoid forced actions regarding matters under his jurisdiction.
The remark comes as President Chakwera has appointed three new commissioners to the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC).
In an interview with MIJ Online, Benedicto Kondowe, chairperson of CSEIF, underscored the need for President Chakwera to make timely decisions without waiting for public outcry.
However, Kondowe noted that the appointment of the new commissioners gives MEC the quorum required to legally transact business and conduct its affairs.
