27 acts to star at Ku Mingoli Bash

By Jimmy Chazama & Henry Chulu:

Twenty seven artists will perform at the second edition of Ku Mingoli Bash to be held at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on August 3 2024.

Spearheaded by Sound Addicts Live, led by renowned sound engineer Shadreck Kalukusha, the bash will this year feature an all-local artists line-up compared to last year, when it had international artists.

Kalukusha said Wednesday that they have so far announced 25 artists set to perform with two acts remaining.

“We have two more to release, we should release one later but the other one will be a surprise act. We will also release the programme on Friday,” he said.

He said they have over 11 headliners including Tay Grin, Gwamba, Eli Njuchi, Piksy, Temwah, Patience Namadingo and Black Missionaries for what he described as a jam-packed bash that will give fun lovers all the enjoyment.

“We are well prepared this year, we have worked on our strengths and tried to rectify the weaknesses we had last year. We have raised the bar and breathed more life into the second edition,” Kalukusha said.

He said they have settled for Civo Stadium as a venue this year from Grand Business Park because of its convenience.

“Grand Business Park is a good venue but we experienced a lot of traffic and we have moved to Civo to do away with that,” Kalukusha said.

On having an all-local cast, Kalukusha said “local is good.”

“We want to show that our local artists are just as talented as international artists. We will give them the same level of treatment we have given to some of the international artists from production quality and support them to make sure they shine on stage,” Kalukusha said.

Ku Mingoli Bash won the hearts of fun lovers in its debut outing last year.
