FCB Nyasa Big Bullets coach Peter Mponda says today’s defeat to Civo Service United is not the last for this year but his full attention is on taking this opportunity.
In the match held at the Civo Stadium in Lilongwe, the local boys took the lead in the 48th minute through John Dambuleni.
But Maulle pulled one back in the 56th minute through Ephraim Kondowe. But Civo came back and nailed a painful goal for Bullets through Moses Banda to make the game 2-1 in Civo’s favor.
Speaking to Peter Mponda, Bullets coach said people should expect his team to win more games in the future, although his goal is to gain experience.
“Losing is a big deal but at the end of the day we want to win professionally,” said the referee after the match. “We didn’t say we wanted to finish the tournament undefeated but we wanted to collect points. If we talk about losing, this is not the end, there are still many more ahead but most importantly at the end of the tournament we want to win professionally”
The coach said his team did not play well in today’s match and commended Civo Service United for their hard work which earned them the victory.
Despite the defeat, Bullets still lead the Super League table with 27 points from 11 matches, while Civo have dropped from 14th to 11th with 13 points.
