Theresa Phondo features Zambian artists in remix

The wind of remixes seems to be making inroads in the country, with artists seeking to give their fans a variety of sounds.

Multi-award winning afro R& B gospel musician Theresa Phondo is the latest artist to tap into the model, which has seen her working with two Zambian artists, namely Esther Chungu and Tio Nason, in a remix of her recent single ‘Daily’.

The former Zathu Band member has since released ‘Daily Remix’ dubbed ‘Daily II’.

Launched on February 28 2025, alongside a music video, this reimagined version of Phondo’s 2024 track amplifies its message of gratitude and faith with fresh energy and cross-border flair.

“This remix blends my signature soulful sound with Esther’s emotive depth and Tio’s dynamic delivery, creating an anthem of thanksgiving that resonates universally,” she said on  Wednesday.

The ‘Yewo’ maker said ‘Daily’ is a celebration of God’s goodness.

“Working with Esther and Tio has brought new life to the song, and I am excited for listeners to feel the joy and hope it carries,” she said.

Phondo said her collaboration in the remix with Esther and Tio had connected her to new audiences and that she was looking forward to more of such networks.

And following the success of her self-titled Extended Playlist and singles like ‘Blessings’, ‘Testimony’ and ‘Yewo’, Phondo continues to solidify her place as one of the leading voices in African gospel music.

With over 119,000 monthly Spotify listeners and a growing global fanbase, Phondo believes ‘Daily Remix’ is poised to inspire and uplift audiences across continents.

The artist recently signed a global distribution deal with ONErpm, further solidifying her presence on the international stage.
