At the Lunzu Mega Rally on Sunday, Hon. Joseph Mwanamvekha, DPP Vice President-South, called for support for Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s return on September 16, emphasizing the urgent need for economic restoration.
Reflecting on the past, Mwanamvekha recalled the economic stability experienced during Mutharika’s leadership.
He highlighted the availability of ample foreign exchange, fuel, and accessible medicines, which contributed to a thriving economy.
Furthermore, he noted that basic commodities were affordable and food supplies were abundant, benefiting all Malawians.
Transitioning to the future, Mwanamvekha assured the crowd that Mutharika’s return would not only restore these vital benefits but also empower key sectors, including civil servants, women, youth, and students.
“It’s time to turn the tide,” he urged, rallying Malawians to unite in support of Mutharika in the upcoming elections.
