The majority of football fans have expressed disappointment with the newly launched Malawi National Football Team jersey.

This comes days after the Football Association of Malawi (Fam) signed a two-year contract with South Africa-based firm Admiral.
The deal is worth K200 million per year.
Moments after unveiling the kit on Saturday, several fans took to social media to express their disappointment with the new uniform.
While some are happy with the new black kit, the majority seemed unhappy with the green jersey as some fans have likened it to the FCB Nyasa Big Bullets 2023 training kit and defunct Masters Security jersey.
The fans expressed their anger on the Fam official Facebook page.
A supporter identified as Langson Banda did not hide his disappointment.
“This kit is looking bad, [it is] not a nice design,” Banda wrote on the Fam Facebook page.
Another supporter, identified as Sam Makutu, questioned why Fam opted to use both its own brand ‘Moto’ and Admiral on a Flames kit.
“Help me understand how an Admiral kit is accompanied by Moto socks. The consignment did not include socks? One of the fans queried.
Fam Competitions and Communications Director Gomezgani Zakazaka was not readily available for his immediate reaction.
But Fam President Fleetwood Haiya said the partnership with Admiral was a milestone.
“We unveil a new product designed to instil confidence in our national teams—the Flames, the Scorchers, and all our junior national teams. We present a new identity to the millions of Malawians who proudly associate with the beautiful colours of black, red and green,” Haiya said.
Local football analyst Kim Kamau said Fam had goofed on the new Flames jersey.
“This one [set of jerseys] is substandard. The most recent one was even better. Even K400 million on a two-year deal is on the lower side,” Kamau said.
Another analyst Dyson Musa accused Fam of not consulting stakeholders on the new uniform.
“All the kits are similar to that of one local team. I think Fam officials are not consulting,” Musa said.
In January this year, Fam unveiled new Moto replica jerseys.
The consignment, which arrived in January, is comprised of three types, namely Moto Authentic, Moto Mild and Moto Standard.
