FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Coach Kalisto Pasuwa has vowed to keep fighting for remaining trophies after his charges surrendered the FDH Bank Cup following their 3-2 post-match penalties loss to second-tier side Blue Eagles.

Currently, Pasuwa’s charges are struggling in the TNM Super League as they are on position nine with 24 points from 16 matches.

Pasuwa said his charges would keep on fighting until the last day of the season.

“We will soldier on. I think there are so many games to be played before winding up the 2024 season. We do not need to look down; we must go back and rectify our problems. I do believe that we can do better in the remaining games,” Pasuwa said.

His realistic chance for a silverware this season lies in defending the Castel Challenge Cup and Airtel Top 8.

Last season, Bullets won an unprecedented quadruple but they have lost one cup this season while their chances of retaining the league are quite slim as they trail leaders Silver Strikers by 20 points, having played two matches less to the Central Bankers’ 18.

Sports analyst Frank Chakanga said Bullets must work on their confidence to get back to winning ways consistently.

“If you analyse Bullets’ performance this season, you will notice that the players lack confidence. Most teams are now coming hard on Bullets. The team’s board tried its best to motivate the side but it seems there are some internal problems which are affecting the team, hence it is lacking consistency,” Chakanga said.
