FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have challenged coach Peter Mponda to continue spending ahead of the new season so that he can build a strong side.
Bullets have signed four players despite losing over 10 players.
The team’s acting chief executive officer Albert Chigoga said Mponda was free to sign more players if he wanted.

“We have brought in every player the coach requested management to. We are of the view that more players can be signed, [but] only when the coach says so,” Chigoga said.
This means despite Mponda’s recent remarks that Bullets were done on the market, the team might make some additions.
Bullets seem not done on the market, with the future of left-back Alick Lungu hanging in the balance.
As such, Mponda may need a replacement to complement youthful Chrispin Mapemba.
This follows reports that the team failed to lure back defender Precious Sambani.
Bullets signed three defenders, namely Andrew Juvinala from Blue Eagles, Chikumbutso Henderson from Mzuzu City Hammers and Blessings Joseph from Chitipa United.
The team also re-signed injured midfielder Peter Banda before the 2024 season concluded.
Meanwhile, one of the country’s football analysts, John Mkisi, has said Bullets need an attacking midfielder and left-back.
He said the midfielder should compete with Mike Mkwate, who is returning from injury.
“They have good goalkeepers, midfielders and strikers who can give them the league title but I doubt if their new-look defence is good enough,” Mkisi said.
Bullets lost defenders Nickson Nyasulu, Gomezgani Chirwa and Precious Phiri to Zimbabwe after they agreed not to extend their contracts.
They also released defender Collin Mujuru and midfielders Stanley Billiat, Ronald Chitiyo and Kenneth Pasuwa at the end of the 2024 season.
Last season, the team finished third in the league, with Silver Strikers winning the championship.
They did not end the season empty-handed though, as they retained the Airtel Top 8 Cup.
