Renowned professional golfer Paul Chidale has booked a slot in the Magical Kenya Open expected to tee-off today at Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi.

The championship is expected to end on Sunday.

According to www.europeantour.com, Chidale made history for Malawi as he fired a brilliant round of 71 in the second round of Monday, qualifying to surge up the leaderboard and seal a place in the field.

HARA—We are proud

“He made two birdies and a single bogey in his second 18 holes to record the only under par round of the day and take the second qualifying spot at six over,” www.europeantour.com reported.

Chidale attributed the feat to the support of his lead sponsors, NBS Bank.

“Over the years, NBS Bank has consistently backed my participation in various regional tournaments, providing essential financial assistance for travel and upkeep. I am deeply appreciative of the caring Bank,” Chidale said.

NBS Bank Head of Marketing Stella Hara said they were excited with Chidale’s achievement, saying they had provided extra resources to the golfer to boost his chances of winning the tournament.

“We believe in championing Malawian talent and enabling them to shine on international platforms. Paul’s journey to the Kenya Open is proof that, with the right support, our athletes can compete at the highest levels. We are proud to stand behind him as he makes history for Malawi,” Hara said.
