
Mighty Wanderers underlined their hunger for the TNM Super League championship with a 3-1 drubbing of Blue Eagles at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre Sunday.
The Nomads, alongside Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos and Kamuzu Barracks, registered big wins on the second day of the 2025 season.
The Nomads showed no mercy, thrashing Eagles 3-1, whereas Dynamos stunned Creck Sporting Club 1-4 at Champion Stadium in Mponela, Dowa District.
At Mzuzu Stadium, Kamuzu Barracks hammered Mzuzu City Hammers 1-3.
It rained goals on the second day of the 2025 TNM Super League as 15 goals were scored in five matches.
Wanderers taught Eagles some football lessons on their return to the top flight league.
Goals from Wisdom Mpinganjira, Emmanuel Nyirenda and Promise Kamwendo were enough for Wanderers to secure maximum points.
James Stambuli scored the consolation goal for Eagles.
Wanderers Coach Bob Mpinganjira said his team deserved the victory.
“I am very happy with the fighting spirit from the boys. They showed hunger for success,” he said.
Eagles Coach Eliya Kananji admitted that it was a bad return to the TNM Super League.
“We made several mistakes and, as such, Wanderers capitalised on them and punished us. The boys were also jittery,” Kananji said.
At Champion Stadium, Dynamos stunned Creck in a five-goal thriller.
Bright Masebo, Chifuniro Mpinganjira, Aggrey Msowoya and Marco Chiwaya netted for Dynamos whereas George Chaomba scored the consolation goal for Creck.
Dynamos are top on the log table on goal difference.
At Mzuzu Stadium in Mzuzu City, Zeliati Nkhoma scored a brace for KB soldiers after Francis Mchema netted the opener.
Samson Olatubosun scored the face-saver for Hammers.
Elsewhere, Karonga United stunned Civil Service United 0-1 at Nankhaka Stadium in Lilongwe.
Allen Chihana scored for Karonga.
Moyale Barracks also registered a 0-1 win over Songwe United at Karonga Stadium in Karonga District.
