FCB Nyasa Big Bullets reserve team coach Enos Chatama is on the verge of leaving the side for greener pastures.

Chatama has been linked with a move to either newly promoted TNM Super League side Ekhaya FC and also league champions Silver Strikers.

However, Chatama could neither confirm nor deny the development.

“My brother, there are a lot of offers on the table but I am not ready to commit. It is time to think about what is the best for me. However, I do not want to be put under the bus,” he said.

The coach has won the Southern Region Football Association Premier Division title four times and Aubrey Dimba Cup.

Chatama has also produced 36 top flight league players.

Ekhaya Chief Executive Officer Riccoh Mpinganjira was elusive on the matter but said the side was delighted to be linked with Chatama.

“Chatama is a coach whose history and CV [curriculum vitae] is well documented with success. There are many coaches that have been linked with us but our stand is that we have not finalised anything regarding the post because we have a coach already,” he said.

On his part, Silver Chief Executive Officer Patrick Chimimba refused to comment on Chatama’s claims, saying the Central Bankers’ coach Peter Mgangira’s assistant will decide on who are going to be his assistants.

“Silver have given the head coach the responsibility to choose members of his back room staff. There are so many names that we have read in the media but until our head coach gives us the final list, we will treat all the news as hearsay,” Chimimba said.
