Creck Sporting Club are hopeful of signing four more new players before the start of the 2025 football season.
The club’s general secretary Aaron Mtaya disclosed this after completing the signing of striker Hassan Hussein from former TNM Super League side Fomo.
“We are not yet done on the market. We want to sign all the players the technical panel requested,” Mtaya said.
The acquisition of Hussein means Creck have signed two players in the ongoing transfer window following the arrival of striker Isaac Msiska from Mzuzu City Hammers.
Creck have been linked with Mighty Wanderers striker Mischeck Bottoman and Blue Eagles goalkeeper Brighton Munthali.
But Mtaya refused to disclose the identities of their targets.
“We will only disclose once we sign the players. It will be unprofessional for me to talk about players who belong to other teams,” he said.
Creck have already released 11 players ahead of the season.
Flames legend Joseph Kamwendo was recently confirmed as Creck coach after he impressed in an interim role following the departure of MacDonald Mtetemera, who is now at Wanderers as an assistant to Bob Mpinganjira.
However, Kamwendo brought Abel Mkandawire as his assistant whereas former FCB Nyasa Bullets striker Chiukepo Msowoya is the physical trainer. Former Silver Strikers goalkeeper Sibusiso Padambo was appointed as goalkeepers’ trainer.
The Lilongwe-based outfit is expected to take part in this year’s Airtel Top 8 after finishing on position six last season.
