Betway unveils K335 million Silver Strikers kit sponsorship

It does not get any better than this. Betway has extended its partnership with reigning TNM Super League champions Silver Strikers.

The partnership is worth K335 million for three years.

This could be a timely boost for Silver as they start their TNM Super League title defence against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe this afternoon.

The increase in the sponsorship comes after the company invested K65 million in the initial one-year contract last season.

Announcing the new deal at Silver Offices, Betway Malawi Chief Operations Officer Charles Phiri said the company was motivated to increase the sponsorship after the initial deal reaped fruits.

“We are proud of the success stories of our first sponsorship with Silver. The club helped to market our products,” Phiri said.

He then challenged the team to defend the league this year.

“We believe in the team. We believe that they will perform according to our expectations again,” Phiri said.

The new deal comes as Silver are also expected to take part in the 2025 Caf Champions League.

On his part, Silver Board Chairperson George Kaudza- Masina promised that the club would deliver in the 2025 season.

“We are very excited that Betway has extended the partnership. We will repay the faith shown in us,” Kaudza-Masina said.

Super League of Malawi (Sulom) Executive Committee Member William Nhlane hailed the company for supporting local football.

“This is exciting news for Malawi football. We hope this will help Malawi football to grow,” Nhlane said.

The partnership with Silver saw Betway’s logo adorning the front of the club’s jersey, marking the first such deal in the team’s history.

Apart from Betway, Silver signed a one-year deal with Luthando Holdings Limited worth K35 million.

Through the deal, Luthando’s logo is being displayed on the back of the team’s jersey for the 2025 football season.
