
Malawi Olympic Committee (Moc) President Jappie Mhango sports administration skills have been showcased following his appointment into the Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Board of Administration Presidential Advisory Council for the period of 2025-2028.

The letter added that CAVB was looking forward to benefiting from Mhango’s wealth of experience and the fresh perspectives.
“Your involvement will undoubtedly play a crucial role in advancing our mission and enhancing the development of volleyball across Africa.
“Please accept our heartfelt congratulations on this appointment. We are excited to work closely with you and look forward to your active participation in the CAVB’s activities,” he said.
Mhango said he was delighted to help in the development of the sport.
“It is a big honour for me personally and the country at large. This reflects my contribution to the sport over the years and I am glad to help in shaping the future of the sport on the continent,” he said.
Mhango, a Rumphi North Member of Parliament, previously served as Volleyball Association of Malawi president.
