Musicians Saint, Driemo and Pop Young will tomorrow share the stage during the fifth edition of the CTS Courier Akasi Night to be held in Lilongwe.

The event which has in the previous editions also attracted other artists such as Tuno moves to the capital city and will be held at Bremat Multipurpose Hall.

The free-of-charge event will be hosted by broadcaster Victor Daffrece.

Saint famed for tracks such as ‘Una,’ said on Wednesday that he was set to entertain people with his songs at the event.

“I just want to thank CTS Courier for engaging me to be part of their event alongside my brothers Driemo and Pop Young. I am ready for this,” he said.

Saint said apart from performing, the Akasi Night event will also accord him a chance to interact with CTS Courier staff and their clients.

“CTS Courier staffs are my fans and their clients are also my fans and so it was only important to be part of this event,” the ‘Ah Yami’ star said.

On his part, Pop Young also said he has prepared well for the event and promised to give out the best.

“I am looking forward to connecting and creating unforgettable memories with the people. It is going to be a night to remember for sure. I will create history with the audience on the day,” he said.

The musician also said he has more to offer to people in 2025.

Driemo was not readily available for his comment on Thursday.

CTS Courier branch manager for Luwinga in Mzuzu, Sarah Alexander Nyirenda, said that they decided to invite the artists to spice up the event and entertain their customers.

She said the event is aimed at appreciating their customers for being with them through thick and thin.

“This event offers a platform for our customers to interact with us and get to know one another while they are being entertained with music from the artists. It also gives us employees from different branches to come together as one family and cement our relationships and that of our customers,” she said.

She has since urged their customers to patronise the event.

In another development, Saint has released visuals for his latest track ‘Ndivailira’ which features Kell Kay.

Speaking after the official release of the video on Wednesday, Saint said he is hopeful that music lovers will love the song and the music video.

“I am happy to start 2025 with this fresh project. I have worked hard on it and I enjoyed making it,” the award winning artist said.

Saint who was among the top earners of Copyright Society of Malawi (Cosoma) black media levy hailed people for their support.

“There are more people following us and accessing our works through online platforms. This has also pushed us to strive to produce quality works in both audio and music videos,” he said.

Saint said with quality music videos it was now easy for artists to make a breakthrough on the international stage, earn the numbers and also get opportunities.

Saint last year performed in Germany and United States of America.

Local artists have in recent times produced top music videos that have earned millions on views on YouTube.

This year alone, over 10 artists including Jetu, Emmie Deebo, Driemo, Gwamba, Eli Njuchi, Temwah, Fada Moti and Kell Kay have all achieved over one million views on YouTube.
