Malawi has recorded two cases of Mpox, Ministry of Health has announced the development.
Mpox which is transmitted from animals to humans and also from humans to humans is largely characterized by fever and rash.
However, authorities are advising the public not to panic, rather to take preventive and control measures.
A statement released by the ministry of health is also advising people to report any suspected cases to nearest health facilities.
While there is no specific treatment for Mpox, treatment remains supportive and symptomatic.
