Mount View International School in Blantyre has kept the creative flame alive by creating an expo aimed at giving learners a chance to showcase their talents.
The expo, which also acts as a warm-up to the festive season, kicked off yesterday and will end today.
The school’s principal Narjeet Kaur said yesterday that the expo underlined their commitment to help elevate the creative sector in the country as well as unearth talent.
“The expo is significant because apart from providing entertainment, it is there to showcase talent. These performances are far more than just entertainment or the mere idea of fun. This expo is an essential part of education and personal growth,” Kaur said.
The principal said through the expo, learners also have an opportunity to discover who they are, where they find courage to try something new and where they learn the values of perseverance and hard work.
“Through these expos, students not only develop critical skills like creativity, communication and team work but also learn to appreciate to appreciate diverse forms of expression,” Kaur said.
