Hear Us Children to fly flag in Spain

Hear Us Children from Music Crossroads Malawi left the country on Monday through Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe for Barcelona in Spain for an exchange programme.

Music Crossroads Malawi Director Mathews Mfune said yesterday that they were excited to send Hear Us Children on an exchange programme and that they were expected back on May 18, 2025.

“It has been a long time but the good thing is that each time we send different teams to learn and share skills and promote skills. We are proud of them and the work they do to promote Malawi and peace in the world using their talents,” Mfune said.

He also said the exchange programme was part of cementing their long partnership with the people of Spain and Auladeso Foundation with Music Crossroads.

“While there, Hear Us Children will hold workshops in schools around Barcelona and showcase Malawi’s culture through traditional dances. They actually have a production called Pamtondo,” Mfune said.

“Hear Us Children will also make a presentation about Malawi and Music Crossroads at St Cugat Town Hall,” he added.

In another development, two artists from Arts Sustainability Lab, namely Jack Musumba and Robert Magasa, also left the country yesterday through Chileka International Airport in Blantyre for Hannover, Germany, to participate in projects.
