Youthful musician Emmie Deebo left the country on Wednesday for South Africa, where she is set to hold two shows this coming weekend.
The ‘Chilipo’ maker will perform in Johannesburg and Cape Town in the Rainbow Nation. Her manager Laurent Kwakwala said the performances in South Africa would give the artist an opportunity to reach out to different audiences.
“She is performing in South Africa for the first time and, so, this is special for her. Her fans have been eagerly waiting for her to perform and now that chance has come,” Kwakwala said.
Kwakwala also said Emmie Deebo had travelled with her producer Macia to record new songs with some South African artists.
“This opportunity showcases the quality of our art, which is worthy of export. We just need to invest more resources in the music industry to take it to the next level,” he said.
The artist is expected to share the stage with Saint, Eli Njuchi and Onesimus, among others.
