The film industry seems set to offer more movies on the market, with the latest one coming from Domasi Management College for Social Sciences (DMC) in Zomba.
The film, titled A Twist of Humanity, follows in the footprints of Welcome to Maula Prison by 4Kaya Films and The Gunless Soldier by award-winning filmmaker Joyce Mhango Chavula.
A Twist of Humanity is Domasi Management College for Social Sciences’ second film.
They debuted with Endurance last year.
Premiered on Saturday, the film, directed by Paul Batch and co-written by Emily Chikaluma and Chimwemwe Lumeta, tells the story of a girl who faced betrayal.
“We are excited to have this film on the market. We are sure the story will resonate well with what people encounter in day-to-day life. We have issues like mental health,” Batch said.
DMC Executive Director Brave Nyirenda said they had plans to premiere the film in other colleges across the country.
“We want to market the movie and use the proceeds to establish DMC Foundation, which will be engaged in charitable work,” Nyirenda said.
He said they were also targeting people online, where they would be uploading the film on YouTube.
DMC has partnered Alimo Studios in production of the movie.
