Forward Christopher Kumwembe has opened his goals’ account in Zambia after helping Green Buffaloes thrash Indeni FC 4-0.
Kumwembe, who is playing for Buffaloes on loan from Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, scored in the 35th minute to put the game beyond the opposition’s reach with the third goal of the match.
The former Civil Service United striker said he wanted to earn a permanent contract with the Zambian side.
“I thank God for the bright start in this league. This has motivated me a lot. I will keep working hard,” he said.
Meanwhile, Wanderers Board Member David Kanyenda has expressed joy at Kumwembe’s good start in Zambia.
“I am very happy for the boy. I wish him well and we, as a team, are also happy that he scored and provided an assist in his debut match. Let us hope he will continue,” Kanyenda said.
