Musicians Onesimus and Emmie Deebo as well as media personality Priscilla Kayira Nsane have been nominated in the Young Achievers Africa Awards to be held in Kigali, Rwanda in April.
Onesimus, who has just released a new love track titled ‘Tabwela’, has received nominations in the categories of Best Young Achiever Artist of the Year and Best Music Video of the Year whereas Emmie Deebo has been nominated in the categories of Best Up and Coming Artist of the Year and Best Rising Star of the Year.
Emmie Deebo’s manager, Laurent Kwakwala described the development as an honour for the artist.
“The nomination alone is something huge. It means as a country, we are doing well and going the right direction as regards music,” Kwakwala said.
Kayira Nsane, who was recently appointed Betway’s Ambassador, has received nominations in the categories of Best Young Achiever Media Personality of the Year and Best Young Achiever TV Personality of the Year.
Kayira has since called upon people to vote for her to grab the two awards.
The Young Achievers Africa Awards, which celebrates talent in Africa, also has nominees from among others, Zambia, Uganda, Mozambique, Namibia and Swaziland.
