Madalitso Paul Ziwaoh is set to unveil his latest art exhibition dubbed ‘Inside Life’ from July 26 to 10th August at Kaliso Art Gallery in Lilongwe.

He said the ‘Inside Life’ exhibition will explore the complexities of daily life as the name suggests.

Ziwaoh: I live and associate with different people

“As an artist, I live and associate with different people with different experiences. There is a lot happening in everyday life. Inside life we smile, cry, laugh, get comfort, fall, wake up, start again, rebuild,” he said, outlining the inspiration behind the upcoming solo exhibition.

The artist also added that the exhibition will mark a milestone for him as an artist showcasing the dedication, effort and growth behind each piece and ensured art lovers and patrons that the exhibition will be a different experience with a new touch of canvases.

“It is really something new and interesting because there are paintings, I am bringing. I can’t disclose now but I can assure that all those who will come through to purchase will be in awe because it will be an exhibition of everyday life experience,” said Ziwaoh.

Commenting on the development, Everlyn Chisambiro of Kaliso Art Gallery said she has high expectations of the exhibition considering how Ziwaoh’s art speaks for itself.

“He understands visual art and being in the field for a long time I have no doubt he will pull out a standard exhibition, his works are remarkable both on international and local standards,” she said.

Chisambiro further said the exhibition also resonates with Kaliso Art Gallery mission which is to see visual artist occupy their spaces and are empowered to showcase the works they produce.

Ziwaoh has held two solo art exhibitions in the past including ‘The Beauty in Black’ at the Jacaranda Cultural Centre in 2020 and another at Chambo Market in Lilongwe.

He has also exhibited in different events including the well known Art in the Park festival for visual artists.
