Social media controversial content creator and entertainer Hannah Jabes, popularly known as Tamia Ja, has publicly opened up about her sexuality, sparking widespread conversation across platforms.
In a recent interview with content creator Danrrow, Tamia was asked directly whether she identifies as a lesbian a question that has long been the subject of speculation among her followers.
“What I can say is this: whether I am a lesbian or not, it’s my life. He who hears, hears; the wise hear and understand. If I am a lesbian, it doesn’t matter, it’s my life,” she said.
When questioned about frequent videos showing her kissing other women, Tamia offered an evasive but bold response: “What you hear is what you hear, and that’s what it is.”
Addressing claims that lesbians are paid to engage in same-sex relationships, Tamia strongly denied the notion and voiced concern over such assumptions. “I feel sorry when I hear people say lesbians get paid. That kind of thinking makes others join in, thinking there’s money involved. That’s misleading.”
She also responded to the moral and religious criticism she faces, saying, “People say lesbianism is satanic. Maybe Satan gave me feelings for other women, so if I end up being a lesbian, let it be, but not for money. I don’t think anyone gets paid for being lesbian.”
Tamia reflected on how religion is often used to condemn homosexuality, particularly references to Sodom and Gomorrah. “In the Bible, people were also practising lesbianism. You use Sodom and Gomorrah as an example, but those cities weren’t destroyed only because of lesbianism. There was adultery, theft, and many sins. So don’t judge only based on homosexuality.”
She revealed that she frequently receives messages from other women regarding same-sex relationships. “I get a lot of ladies messaging me. There are two kinds: some want me to connect them to other lesbians, and others want to be in a relationship with me.”
When asked about the gender of her current partner or her romantic preference, Tamia gave a cryptic answer: “For now, I go along with what people speculate.”
Looking at how she responded to the questions, it’s clear that she remains unapologetically herself, unbothered by judgment and unafraid to challenge societal expectations.
