Judicial accountability probe in pipeline

The Malawi Human Rights Commission says it is expected to finalize its inquiry into access to justice and judicial accountability in April this year.

The inquiry was launched in October, year following allegations of widespread corruption involving some judicial officers, magistrates and judges.

Chikondi Chijozi chairperson for the commission has told MIJ Online that the commission will publicize the findings once the process is done.

Chijozi also added that the commission will make recommendations for improvements on areas that hinder access to Justice.
