
Authorities have disclosed that the Higher Education Bill is ready to be tabled in the next sitting of parliament.
This comes as the bill has undergone scrutiny by the Ministry of Justice and is expected to become an act once passed.

The announcement has been made on the sidelines of the ongoing Alliance for African Partnership (AAP) Annual Consortium Meeting at Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR).
The meeting has brought together university leaders, researchers and stakeholders from across Africa and beyond.
Speaking to MIJ Online Dr. Levis Eneah, Secretary in the Ministry of Higher Education confirmed that the bill is now ready to be tabled in the next sitting of parliament.
Meanwhile, Prof. Emmanuel Kaunda, Vice Chancellor of LUANAR, praised the partnership for driving innovation and producing impactful research.
Kaunda singled out the development of apps and research projects that empower youth and support Vision 2063.
And on his part, Titus Awokuse, Vice Provost and Dean at Michigan State University, said that the partnership is key in leveraging innovation and finding solutions to Africa’s challenges.
