Ecobank Malawi recently participated in the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (Kuhes) 2025 first-year student orientation, where it offered digital payments products and services to students.
The move is part of the bank’s commitment to empowering students with seamless and innovative financial solutions.
It was also part of the bank’s contribution to the national financial inclusion drive.
During the orientation, Ecobank introduced the first-year students to its student-friendly banking solutions, designed to offer convenience, security and flexibility.
These platforms enable them to send money via bank-to-wallet transfers, generate and withdraw cash using XpressCash tokens without an ATM card, shop using Ecobank Pay Scan & Pay, buy airtime, pay bills and manage their finances easily from their mobile phones.
Ecobank Malawi Head of Marketing Tidzi Chalamba reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to empowering students.
“We, at Ecobank, believe in supporting students by making banking simple, affordable and accessible. With our digital banking solutions and Visa Debit cards, students can save time and focus on their education, knowing they have a reliable financial partner from day one,” Chalamba said.
