CDH Bank powers narratives on environmental health

The CDH Investment Bank has made a donation of MK 1 Million towards a lakeshore conference by the Malawi Environmental Health Association (MEHA) due next month.

According to James Chikoti, CDH Investment Bank Chief Operating Officer, the bank has seen the need to support narratives on environmental health issues because they offer policy and prevention guidelines of a series of public health issues.

He said they expect the delegates of the conference to focus on narratives that are essential towards ensuring that the nation is not affected as it were by infections due to poor environmental health statuses.

“As a bank, our view is that the conference is worthwhile considering various environmental health challenges the nation and global community are facing and develop environmental sustainability practices that promote strong health systems for the benefit of all,” he said.

Meanwhile, Associate Professor Save Kumwenda, President, for MEHA has said the conference will take place from 4th – 5th September 2024 at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi district under the theme Protecting everyone’s heath in the new era”.

He said the support by CDH Bank will boost their preparations for the conference where r stakeholders from various sectors of the economy will to discuss pertinent topics that will propel sustainable environmental health systems.
