
A call has gone out to people in the country on the need to promote buying local products arguing that this has the potential to accelerate the country’s economic transformation.
This comes as the country has been observing three days of Buy Malawi Products under the theme, “Innovate, Invest and Inspire: Buy Local, Build the Economy,”.
The Buy Malawi Strategy which has been instrumental since its launch in 2016 serves as the bedrock for these efforts.
Speaking to MIJ Online Chris Loka Public Relations and Marketing Manager for Fed Steel Engineering said that people should normalise buying locally made goods as this is key towards creating a resilient and self-sustaining economy.
