National Oil Company of Malawi (Nocma) has expressed hope that the problem of fuel supply shortage may be addressed in due course, saying two million litres of diesel have arrived in the country.
The company says an additional 3.5 million litres of petrol are expected to land at Nocma depots this week.
Nocma spokesperson Raymond Likambale said they were hopeful that fuel supply would stabilise in due course.
“Besides the 20 million litres of diesel that have arrived, about 1.9 million litres of petrol have just crossed Songwe border.
“Another 1.6 million litres are en route from Beira, Mozambique,” Likambale said.
