One of the political scholars has hailed the philosophical approach of politics which is dawning in the country.
Philosophies that have born include “People Over Politics” coined by the youthful cabinet minister, Vitumbiko Mumba and also “National Resolution for Change” of Denis Mahata who is the current youngest presidential aspirant.
The political approach is being regarded to make shift the traditional way of politics that centers on manifestos without any definite philosophy.
Commenting on this gradual change, the scholar Ernest Thindwa describes it as ‘a right step in a right direction.’
However, he is urging pioneers of the philosophies to put their frameworks in a socioeconomic context so that ordinary Malawians can understand them better.
Also, Thindwa believes that if such political philosophies materialize, have potential to propel the country’s development aspirations.
