One of the country’s prominent business persons Sheperd Bushiri has hit back at South Africa’s Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi for questioning his wealth during a public lecture.
At a public lecture, Trade Minister- Vitumbiko Mumba organized at the University of Malawi, Ndlozi advised Malawians to ask local wealthy people, including Bushiri, why they are rich.
However, in a Facebook post, Bushiri has accused Ndlozi of jealousy and xenophobia, saying, “Why ask about my riches? Focus on politics.”
In his remarks, Bushiri defended his wealth, citing job creation and charity work, and warned, “You can’t bully me here like in South Africa.”
Meanwhile, Ndlozi, a former EFF spokesperson, is yet to respond to the remarks by the televangelist.
Bushiri is facing fraud charges in South Africa.
