Afford denies Mtambo ‘ousting’

The Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) has dismissed claims that its Vice President, Timothy Mtambo, has resigned over being sidelined in Electoral Alliance talks.

In a statement signed by the party’s publicity secretary, Annie Amatullah Maluwa, AFORD described the reports as “malicious propaganda” aimed at misleading the public.

Maluwa said that the working relationship between party president Enock Chihana and Mtambo remains strong and intact.

She further urged Malawians to ignore the rumors, saying they are a deliberate attempt to destabilize the party.

AFORD has assured the public that its leadership remains united and committed to building a better future for Malawi.
